Salut mes amis!

Congratulate me, I'm officially on vacay!!! Though, I'm not on holiday, so I won't be leaving NYC... I'll be sticking around and writing my beauty, makeup and fashion posts like it's a full time job. Looking forward to that, because I'll actually have the time, so let the challenge begin :))

Today's post is titled Red-n-Naked because I'm incorporating my freshly painted fire red nails with a very subtle, barely there maquillage, appropriately using the one and only Urban Decay Naked Palette. Get yours today, it's a must-have for every makeup junkie out there!

READ ON for the review and quick tutorial :)

EYES: I used the eyeshadows Naked and Buck to contour my eye socket and to fake a crease, and blended it with the color Sin that I swept all over the lid and past my natural crease. You can see that this technique enlarges the eye shape, bringing more light to the lid, making it appear bigger and brighter. Since I wanted to keep the eye makeup very minimal and bare, I skipped the liner and just added a coat of mascara to the top lashes.

CHEEKS & LIPS: I applied a bright orangey peachy blush to the apples of my cheeks and blended it out towards the temples. I lined the lips with NYX lip liner in soft brown and topped with a lip balm :)

Aaaah... I love red nail polish, it makes me feel so feminine and classy! Red nail enamel works on all skin tones and all nail shapes and lengths. I like to keep my nails pretty short, otherwise I have a hard time typing, buttoning buttons, and performing numerous other daily functions. Anyway, this nail polish is Donna Mite by Brucci Nail Hardener and can be found at any American drugstore like Duane Reade, Walgreens, or CVS. First coat goes on like stained glass, and the second results more opaque. I love the orange-red color, it is quite flattering on olive, yellow and tan skin tones.

Sticking with the nude and red theme for Spring!
