Hello gorgeous! Today's fashion post and outfit are loosely inspired by the motorcycle culture, namely by a character from one of my favorite shows: the badass Gemma Teller (Sons of Anarchy). The MC style is so in and on trend at the moment, and with everyone rocking an MC-jacket nowadays, I had to find my own voice and spin on this popular fashion movement. My version is called "Gemma in the City", in SoHo to be exact, and it's exactly how I wore and reinterpreted this statement.

The Look: Instead of the typical MC, I opted for a wooly plaid jacket with leather sleeves and buckle details, then layered a stylized MC crop top over a sheer floral teddy. To keep the look modern and clean, I paired the top with cigarette jeans and hardware embellished black leather heels. For the bonus Gemma touch, I added a fringed leather bag, which also happens to be my every day go-to bag.
- Jacket, Tank & Crop Top: Nasty Gal
- Jeans: Zara
- Heels: Pour La Victoire
- Bag: Magnes
Makeup & Hair: To reflect the character's makeup style, I chose a soft, daytime smokey eye and paired it with plummy matte lips. I modernized the look with sculpted thicker brows and contouring. Instead of the signature blond highlights, I opted for ombré extensions in blonde.
- Eyes: NYX Dreamcatcher Palette
- Lips: NYX matte lip cream in Prague
- Hair: Luxy Hair ombré Blonde extensions
UPDATE (11/15/2014): Many of you asked for a closeup shot of this makeup look, and since I didn't take any on the day of the shoot, I decided to reinvent it in cooler tones. Instead of the warm golden smokey, I chose a nude smokey eye - everything goes with nude - and a sharp skinny turquoise cat eye liner. For the lips, I went even deeper in hue and opted for one of my current obsessions: "Berry Me" matte lipstick.
