"Spring Fling" Romantic Eye Makeup & VIDEO Tutorial!

Salut mes belles! Today's look and tutorial are way overdue, and took a lot of effort to put together, especially on the part of my Mr. Maquillage, who filmed, edited and produced the video tutorial. Give him a hand, y'all -- my LeeLee really went to work on this one! As for my part, I wanted to put out an educational tutorial filled with lots of tips, so this video is very detailed, focusing on the technique of cut-crease makeup, as well as blending eyeshadows, applying falsies, and much more. "Eye-C-Music" Makeup Art

Hey guys! I almost forgot, it's Fantasy Friday -- which means, today's makeup look is artistic and totally unwearable fantastical! I was inspired by my Black & White nail art of the week (which wasn't hand-painted by the way) and decided to hand-paint some sheet music, rather two bars of my of favorite Michael Jackson song. Bright, Textured & Happy -- 3D Nail Art!

Hey guys :) Today's nail art wasn't planned for a post, it was merely a practice design I played around with a few days ago while testing out some new polishes. I'm posting this here today for several reasons, first, to brighten my somber mood, and second, to symbolize hope through art. Occasionally, I like to go out all with my nails and makeup, as channeling my creativity allows me to dream and deal with every day living. Art helps us escape and cope with the sometimes harsh reality of life and provides a necessary safe haven to release our frustrations and fears. With all the unfortunate current events -- the bombings, the shootings and the natural disasters -- we must find peace within ourselves, and ART (music, dance, visual art) is one of the few mechanisms that helps keep us sane and hopeful for a brighter tomorrow.

Salut mes belles! It's Fashion Friday and I'm ready for a sunny weekend with today's subtle retro look. This Spring, I'm in the mood for flirty, laid-back separates and classic, feminine shapes reminiscent of the 50's. I'm diggin' the carefree elegance of rockabilly style and crushing over the full swing of poodle skirts paired with clicking peep-toe heels. I'm embracing the hourglass silhouette, and putting my curves on display -- after all, the winter is over and it's time to come out and play!

Bronzed & Bright Beauty

Bonjour mes belles! It's finally sunny in New York and I'm taking full advantage. I'm back after a brief hiatus and on this Manic Monday, I'm focusing on Makeup, Hair & Nails -- a little bit of everything for every beauty lover out there. Today's look is all about the warm tones featuring bright yellow, coral, green, marigold and orange. Although there are a lot of colors, don't be intimidated, this look is quite easy and is totally ready-to-wear!

Spring Shimmer Florals Nail Art

Salut mes amis! It's the first day of April, but I'm not here to fool you, in fact, my blog is all about the opposite. I'm here today and every day to share my knowledge and spread the love for the art of beauty! With that said, it's Mani-Monday and today's theme is hand-painted nail art inspired by Spring, florals, pastels and glitter. For Spring, I'm incorporating softer pastel colors like Illamasqua's Nail Polish in Purity (a gorgeous apricot) and Shimmer Polish in Karen (a vibrant lilac glitter polish). For the flowers, I'm depicting some lilies, orchids and easy-to-paint daisies and painting everything directly on top of the glitter. I know this design may seem complicated to beginner nail artists, but it can be simplified and I'll teach you just how to do it :)

Salut mes amis! It's Fantasy Friday again and today, I'm a little Peacocky :) I wanted to play around with my favorite color Pink and create a funky unwearable look to inspire myself and encourage all of you to get creative! Makeup isn't just about looking good, makeup artistry is also about fun and self-expression, so today I'm practicing just that! Yes, I have piled on the colors, put on a Gaga wig and even went a little asymmetrical for the occasion -- I'm just in that kinda mood today!

"Bold & Beautiful" Coral Makeup

Bonjour mes belles! Today's ready-to-wear look was created in anticipation of warmer weather and was inspired by the color coral, which I implemented in both my eyes and lips. The eye makeup is subtle enough to be worn casually and is featured here with a popping lipstick for a classic night out ensemble. This look would be perfect for prom and was put together using Anastasia's latest Bold & Beautiful Kit and one of my favorite bright lipsticks from Makeup Geek.

Nail Art, Toe Art!

Bonjour mes amis! Spring is right around the corner and I'm super excited because I finally get to showcase my fresh pedi! It's safe to say that Nail Art is here to stay, and I'm guessing that the next big wave in nails will be toe art. I'm predicting lots of colors, textures and hand-painted designs, as well as embellishments, 3D decor and length (Yikes!). One would have to be a contortionist to DIY some of these on the feet, but luckily we have plenty of ready-to-wear nail art available right at your Kiss counter at a nearby drugstore.

Salut mes belles! It's March 8th -- Happy International Women's Day my dolls!! Let this day empower us even more, so we can be fierce and continue to run the world! Girl Power!!

I didn't plan any feminist blog posts for today -- since on my blog, it's Women's Day pretty much 365 days of the year. Instead, I wanted to celebrate another notable group: the Pisces. I'm not much of an astrologist, but I've always liked the idea of the Zodiac categorizing personalities and traits according to the signs. At the end of the day, we are a part of the universe and are all celestially connected to the stars. Some of that stuff has got to be true :)
