"Midnight" Smokey Makeup

Salut mes amis!! Hope you're all happy, healthy and are enjoying your month of August! The last few weeks have been insanely busy for me, both personally and professionally. I've been working on several major projects, filming videos, meeting with companies, attending events and preparing blog content for all of you. On the personal side, I've been getting ready for a major trip to the Philippines and Thailand for my best friend's wedding, as well as a much-needed vacation! 

I'll be leaving today (I'm actually typing from the airport) and I'll be taking you along with me via my photos which I'll be posting on my social media channels. Of course, I'll also be working and updating my blog (though not as frequently) and Mr. Maquillage and I are even planning to visit some cosmetics labs and shoot a makeup VIDEO while we're out there (wish us luck!). This is going to be an amazing trip, so the next time you hear from me will be from the Philippines :)) 

Today's look is my final farewell, so-to-speak, so I wanted to end it with a bang aka with some lights, glitter and celebration!!

Hello beauties! It's Wearable-Wednesday and for today's makeup edition, I'm keeping it soft, natural and feminine. This "pretty in pink" smokey look is perfect for any season and is a great option for a summer bride. I'm using a mix of shimmery and matte shadows from the new CATWALK palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills and drawing a soft focus to all the features for a bright, wide-awake look.

"Summer Kaleidoscope" Hand-Painted Nail Art

Salut mes amis! It's been a while since my last hand-painted nail art post, so today, I've decided to make up for the lost time! With the help of Inglot's latest breathable nail polishes and my trusty nail art brush, I created this whimsical summer nail art inspired by tribal patterns, kaleidoscopes and stained glass windows. This design was truly a joy in the making and though it took nearly an hour and a half to complete, I couldn't be happier with the result!

This look is fun, flirty and perfect for the hot summer days, utilizing my fave neutral palette, Taupe Craze from Lancome, complemented with a pastel coral lip shade from Coloured Raine. This is the type of look that I wear on a daily basis and it's my go-to for enhancing sunkissed skin and relaxed summer style.

Celebrate Pride in Happy Rainbows!

Salut mes amis!! Take out your makeup crayons and join me in today's celebration of life, love, equality and pride for this year's Pride Week! June is the official LGBT Pride Month, with this week being celebrated across the globe with hundreds of gay pride parades, marches, festivals and other events. New York City is home to the first parade commemorating the June 28, 1969 Stonewall Riots in Greenwich Village, which signify the beginning of the modern LGBT rights movement. Today, gay pride is symbolized with the rainbow flag and the annual pride parade is a huge part of our NYC culture. Need more of a reason to wear rainbow colors? I think NOT!

Bonjour mes belles! One of my favorite makeup combos to wear for a night out is a classic smokey eye in a vibrant shade paired with the palest of nude lips. For today's edition of Wearable Wednesday I have prepared precisely this -- a Midnight Blue Smokey Eye and pale, barely pink, nude lips. For this look, I'm using some of my favorite products from Lancome and Lime Crime, a palette and a lipstick, respectively and balancing it out with clean skin, full brows, and rosy cheeks.
