The Wedding Belles

Salut mes belles!!

Happy Wednesday and a BIG, happy "yipppeeeee" to my 500 followers :)) I'm very excited to reach this monumental figure and I'm thinking of ways to celebrate you all, so please stay tuned!!!

As the title of my post suggests, today's maquillage du jour is dedicated to bridal / wedding makeup, featuring the most beautiful bride I've yet to lay my eyes on: my dear friend Amelia. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of doing the makeup for Amy and her bridal party, as well as attending the lovely ceremony and reception afterwards. The day was filled with so much love, joy and excitement--the most fun I've ever had at a wedding--that I just had to share this beautiful occasion with my readers.

Here's Amy, the main wedding belle in all her beauteous glory!!! <3
Isn't she STUNNING!!?

My best friend's wedding

Salut les filles!!

Friday was a special day :) As the world celebrated the royal wedding of the century, I celebrated my best friend's wedding, which was equally royal and joyous, if not more, and so incredibly dear to my heart! My bestie had a city hall ceremony, followed by lunch at a lovely restaurant, where the wine was flowing and the laughter was overflowing and spilling onto the streets of Jersey... haha

I caught myself getting super emotional during the vows... I'm not the mushy type, but this time I was. I guess 15 years of friendship will do that to an ice princess! I can't wait to be a part of my bestie's BIG celebration in the Philippines cuz it's gonna be amaaazinggg!!!

Check out the details ;)

Here comes the Bride...

Salut darlings!!

Today, I'm fulfilling a long awaited request from my bestie Larry aka Larissa, for a Bridal Makeup Look. This bride-to-be knows that I'm no expert at weddings, (nor do I claim to be) but she asked me to do a look that showcases what I think a "bride should look like". I searched the net for inspiration for about 5 minutes and decided to give up because the only inspiring wedding makeup I found was Bollywood makeup. Yes, I am biased. I love bold, bright colors and I tend to favor exotic definitions of female beauty... hence, I will never have a white wedding. On the other hand, Larry the traditionalist, will not be arriving on an elephant, so I'm going to present her with a couple of looks worthy of a classic modern bride. I hope you all enjoy them as well.

bisous,

Maryam Maquillage

P. S. Wedding talk makes me anxious hehe
