Nautical Nails & Toes!

Hey beauties! If you think this nail art looks familiar, you're correct! This weeks "Pin-Up" Nautical theme was inspired by my "I Heart My Sailor" Nail Art from two years ago. This time, instead of hand painting, I'm using a few various nail polish appliqués and taking the design a bit further. I rarely match my nails to my pedi, but this summery Sailor theme was too cute to pass by, so I also implemented it in dressing up my toesies. Summer Style: Kaftans & Corals

Quick post today beauties, just wanted to share my latest obsession for Asa Kaftans "Lagos" kaftan-dress, designed by my amazing friend Asa Soltan. Asa picked the perfect high and low trendy style and the most luxurious snakeskin pattern, and this combo made the dress so versatile and flattering. Not only is it the perfect glamorous cover-up for the beach, but it's also just a stunning piece that can dress up any hot summer night when worn with heels. The best part is that the kaftan takes minimal styling since it's already such a statement piece. Just add your favorite coral lipstick or nails and you're good to go!

"Tribal Lace" Summer Nail Art

Hey guys! Here's today's quick nail art post for Mani-Monday -- I call it "Tribal Lace". I hand-painted this design late last night while snapping away the steps on my Snapchat: MaryamNYC, and I even implemented a couple of ideas that some of you sent me during my painting session. "Something Blue" Nail Art & Fashion Ideas

Hello beauties! Something blue is the air... Bridal season is here and I'm embracing the romantic spirit. This week's hand-painted nail art was loosely inspired by white henna, and is something I thought I bride could wear on her special day. Me? Well, I wear it just because... I love the pale blue shade and the subtle texture that the white designs create on top.

"MUA-Inspired" NAIL ART

Hello beauties! I wasn't planning on sharing this nail art, since it is well past the IMATS and all... but on second thought, I figured it's never too late to post makeup-inspired nails, which I hand-painted last week for the famous makeup convention here in NY. I went all out and this just might be my favorite nail art of all time... second only to my Game of Thrones nail art. What do you think? Would you wear this? Which is your favorite nail? Spring Beauty: Mixed Patterns & Prints

Hello beauties! My fingers and toes are so ready for warm weather -- I'm anticipating lots of corals, pastels and heavy metals coming up this season and into the summer. This week's nail art is a hodgepodge of such themes, focusing on texture, color and detail. I used three nail polish appliqués from Incoco (Coral Crush, By The Sea & New Directions), cut them up into strips, embellished and mix-n-matched to create my own custom designs, then threw in some hardcore glitter nails to complete the set. I sealed everything with gel top coat for extra shine and longevity. I dunno about you, but I'm LOVING this one. It is so very me and so very Spring!!!

Deep Reds: Makeup & Nail Art

"Red, Black & Gold" aka this week's quick nail art for Mani-Monday. I used Incoco nail polish appliqués in Forté and embellished with Kiss Salon Secrets Rococo Kit (gold accents), then sealed the design with Kiss Gel Top Coat for maximum shine and hold. What say you?

Nail Art: Bright Like A Diamond

Hi beauties! This week, I'm shining bright like a diamond, so I'm keeping it literal with this contrasting, black and white negative space mani. Would you wear it and if so, where to? I used Ciaté "Snow Virgin" white polish, Nubar black nail art pen and some Swarovski elements to embellish my hand-painted design. What do you think?

"Negative Space" Versace-Inspired Nail Art

Hey beauties!! Today's mani-Monday post was inspired by none other than Kate Hudson's Versace gown worn last night to the Golden Globe awards. I had a few best dressed favorites, but thought that Kate's gown had some interesting contrasting cutouts that would make for some cool negative space nail art. This was one of the fastest designs I've ever created and is perfect for this week because I won't feel bad when I have to take it off for a shoot on Thursday!

NYE: GLAM Makeup & Nails!!

Hey gorgeous and Happy Holidays!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate) and are in good spirits, ready to ring in the new year!! On my end, I've enjoyed a much needed week off and am back today with a quick makeup & nails post just in time for NYE. I went for a clean, easy-to-replicate, glamorous look fit for a New Year's Ball or Gala. This makeup is simple enough to wear with a backless gown and an updo and is perfect for those of you who prefer natural makeup. I'll try to squeeze in another post on Wednesday focusing on high-drama makeup to go with your sequins dresses and glitzy soirees. Cheers!!

Nail Art: Winter-Theme

Hey dolls!! Mani-Monday is here and this week's nails are winter-themed. I drew my inspiration from the typical wintry classics: snow flurries, cozy sweaters, and silver icicles. I reinterpreted this theme in a graphic, contrasting free-hand style and used three polishes from China Glaze Twinkle Collection to execute this nail art design. This one is so me and I hope you get to try it!

A Tribute to Missoni

Buongiorno!!

No need to explain my nails of the week, they're pretty self explanatory :)) With the help of a few nail polishes and nail art pens, the famous Missoni zigzag stripes have made their way onto my nails!! I love creating my own nailart and this week I was inspired by a few pieces I got from the Missoni for Target collection ;)) Better late than never!!

My best friend's wedding

Salut les filles!!

Friday was a special day :) As the world celebrated the royal wedding of the century, I celebrated my best friend's wedding, which was equally royal and joyous, if not more, and so incredibly dear to my heart! My bestie had a city hall ceremony, followed by lunch at a lovely restaurant, where the wine was flowing and the laughter was overflowing and spilling onto the streets of Jersey... haha

I caught myself getting super emotional during the vows... I'm not the mushy type, but this time I was. I guess 15 years of friendship will do that to an ice princess! I can't wait to be a part of my bestie's BIG celebration in the Philippines cuz it's gonna be amaaazinggg!!!
