Nautical Nails & Toes!

Hey beauties! If you think this nail art looks familiar, you're correct! This weeks "Pin-Up" Nautical theme was inspired by my "I Heart My Sailor" Nail Art from two years ago. This time, instead of hand painting, I'm using a few various nail polish appliqués and taking the design a bit further. I rarely match my nails to my pedi, but this summery Sailor theme was too cute to pass by, so I also implemented it in dressing up my toesies. "Tribal Lace" Summer Nail Art

Hey guys! Here's today's quick nail art post for Mani-Monday -- I call it "Tribal Lace". I hand-painted this design late last night while snapping away the steps on my Snapchat: MaryamNYC, and I even implemented a couple of ideas that some of you sent me during my painting session. So I guess you can call this one a collaborative / interactive effort :) Thanks to everyone who participated, you guys are super awesome!!

"Something Blue" Nail Art & Fashion Ideas

Hello beauties! Something blue is the air... Bridal season is here and I'm embracing the romantic spirit. This week's hand-painted nail art was loosely inspired by white henna, and is something I thought I bride could wear on her special day. Me? Well, I wear it just because... I love the pale blue shade and the subtle texture that the white designs create on top.

"MUA-Inspired" NAIL ART

Hello beauties! I wasn't planning on sharing this nail art, since it is well past the IMATS and all... but on second thought, I figured it's never too late to post makeup-inspired nails, which I hand-painted last week for the famous makeup convention here in NY. I went all out and this just might be my favorite nail art of all time... second only to my Game of Thrones nail art. What do you think? Would you wear this? Which is your favorite nail? Nail Art: Bright Like A Diamond

Hi beauties! This week, I'm shining bright like a diamond, so I'm keeping it literal with this contrasting, black and white negative space mani. Would you wear it and if so, where to? I used Ciaté "Snow Virgin" white polish, Nubar black nail art pen and some Swarovski elements to embellish my hand-painted design. What do you think?

"Negative Space" Versace-Inspired Nail Art

Hey beauties!! Today's mani-Monday post was inspired by none other than Kate Hudson's Versace gown worn last night to the Golden Globe awards. I had a few best dressed favorites, but thought that Kate's gown had some interesting contrasting cutouts that would make for some cool negative space nail art. This was one of the fastest designs I've ever created and is perfect for this week because I won't feel bad when I have to take it off for a shoot on Thursday!

Mattes 2015: Matte Nails, Matte Makeup

Hello my beauties!! It's my first Mani-Monday of 2015, but I've got lots more lined up for today's post. This season is all about the matte finish, we're seeing lots of matte makeup and nails, velvety-soft skin finishes and smokey eyes, and virtually every brand is coming out with those coveted matte lipsticks that everyone craves. Today, I'm overdosing on the matte trend and wearing it from head to toe (or fingertip) and I've even got a quick matte lip video tutorial for you all. Nail Art: Winter-Theme

Hey dolls!! Mani-Monday is here and this week's nails are winter-themed. I drew my inspiration from the typical wintry classics: snow flurries, cozy sweaters, and silver icicles. I reinterpreted this theme in a graphic, contrasting free-hand style and used three polishes from China Glaze Twinkle Collection to execute this nail art design. This one is so me and I hope you get to try it!

Fall Holiday Makeup & Thanksgiving Nail Art

Hey beauties! Thanksgiving holiday is tomorrow, and I've got a number of blessings to count and lots to be thankful for this year. It's been a tremendous year for me work-wise and I'm really excited to be spending the next few days with my extended family and taking a much needed mini-vacation. In honor of Thanksgiving, I've put together this festive makeup and nail art look using all Motives makeup and nail polishes. I've incorporated lots of fall colors, including rich reds, shimmering greens and warm golden tones. I hope you like this one and get to try it out for yourself. Happy Holidays!!!

"Pink Lace" Nail Art

Hello beauties!! It's Mani-Monday aka the only reason to love Mondays, imo, sooo, I've prepared a simple, romantic hand-painted nail art inspired by fishnets and lace. I played with proportions and shapes, incorporating some lacy half moons and French tip patterns and added some glittery studs to dress up the design and hide imperfections. I just love the way this mani came out and really hope you enjoy and try it out for yourselves!!

Nail Painting for Easter

Bonjour mes amis & Happy Easter!!! How many of you are attending a church service today? Are your Easter eggs painted and ready to be devoured after a 40-day fast? Did you know that the ancient tradition of painting eggs for Easter also coincided with fun folkloric games such as egg rolling, egg tapping and the egg hunt? Who knew religion was so fun and vibrant?! I sure didn't... but I'm definitely feeling the spirit and cheer of this colorful Christian holiday and I have the Easter Bunny to thank for my pastel fingertips!!

A Tribute to Missoni

Buongiorno!!

No need to explain my nails of the week, they're pretty self explanatory :)) With the help of a few nail polishes and nail art pens, the famous Missoni zigzag stripes have made their way onto my nails!! I love creating my own nailart and this week I was inspired by a few pieces I got from the Missoni for Target collection ;)) Better late than never!!

Spring Frenchie

Hi guys,

It's a super busy week and I barely do my maquillage... no bueno... For now, take a look at my Fresh French--the ultimate trick for transforming my boy hands into feminine ones. I took these pix with my iphone, hope it suffices! I layered a sparkly pink nail polish over a bluish lavender one for a shexxyy spring shimmery French and I'm lovin' it :)
