Fall Holiday Makeup & Thanksgiving Nail Art

Hey beauties! Thanksgiving holiday is tomorrow, and I've got a number of blessings to count and lots to be thankful for this year. It's been a tremendous year for me work-wise and I'm really excited to be spending the next few days with my extended family and taking a much needed mini-vacation. In honor of Thanksgiving, I've put together this festive makeup and nail art look using all Motives makeup and nail polishes. I've incorporated lots of fall colors, including rich reds, shimmering greens and warm golden tones. I hope you like this one and get to try it out for yourself. Happy Holidays!!!

Holiday Nails & Lancome Collection GIVEAWAY!!!

Flawless Skin: Temptu Airbrush VIDEO Tutorial

Hey beauties!! Some of my most requested tutorials and FAQ's are often revolved around skin and questions about how I achieve my flawless coverage. I almost always rely on airbrush makeup to give me the most natural, perfect coverage, especially on days where I need to look my best and/or when I have bad breakouts. As you know, I've reviewed several airbrush systems here on my blog and today, I'm super excited to present my very first airbrush video tutorial on my YouTube channel featuring Temptu, which is making its debut on my blog. Fall Fashion: MC Style "The Gemma"

Hello gorgeous! Today's fashion post and outfit are loosely inspired by the motorcycle culture, namely by a character from one of my favorite shows: the badass Gemma Teller (Sons of Anarchy). The MC style is so in and on trend at the moment, and with everyone rocking an MC-jacket nowadays, I had to find my own voice and spin on this popular fashion movement. My version is called "Gemma in the City", in SoHo to be exact, and it's exactly how I wore and reinterpreted this statement.

Review & Swatches: Gerard Cosmetics Lip Glosses

Hello darlings!! The weekend is here and I'm super excited to present you with a Special "MM" review that's taken me almost two weeks to prepare and put together. If you're a lover of lip glosses like I am, I'm sure this isn't the first time you're reading the name Gerard Cosmetics and have seen these highly pigmented glosses pop out on your Instagram feed and in your fave YouTube tutorials. These babies have been seen on the lips of so many famous mua's, bloggers and influencers as of late, that I just had to dive in to the glossy goodness and swatch the entire line.

"Jewel Eyes" Creative Liners Makeup Tutorial & VIDEO

Hey beauties! There's a new makeup tutorial on my YouTube channel: Maryam Maquillage and it's all about getting creative with your eyeliners. This video is different from the rest -- for one, because there's no eyeshadows involved in this look -- and I love it for its graphic lines and artistic expression. Try it out for an artsy night on the town: a play, a visit to an art gallery / a museum or anything that requires a creative touch. Hope you like!

"Venetian Assassins" Halloween Makeup

Happy Halloween from me and my Lee!! We're heading out to a masquerade par-tay, "Venetian Assassins" style. We just got these stunning authentic Venetian masks as a gift from my papa, who recently came back from Italy and our costumes were settled. We didn't want to go too crazy with the makeup, since we wanted the masks to be the centerpiece. What do you think? Any fun plans tonight? What's your costume?

Easy Halloween Makeup: the "Fortune Teller"

Hello beauties! Who's ready for Halloween? It's been a busy October for me so far and I haven't had much of a chance to play around with costumes or makeup... This look was something that I came up with as a last minute, quick costume idea for Halloween and I think it turned out quite nice. The best part is that it can be achieved using regular makeup and clothes that you already own, so it eliminates the need for learning special effects techniques and going to the costume shop, not to mention, saves you time and money. I call this look the "Fortune Teller Flapper" and it's my perfect, go-to, last-minute makeup for this year's Halloween. Hope you enjoy and find it useful!

My Foolprool Fall Fashion & Birthday Makeup

Hey darlings!! Today's quickie post is a recap of my recent birthday makeup and outfit. Last Thursday, I welcomed my big "21" (j/k... I wish!) and took a few days off social media and blogging to celebrate with my family. My birthday weekend consisted of lots of hugs, beautiful nature trails, amazing food & wine, and picture-perfect weather!! I packed light keeping my wardrobe casual chic and comfy, but saved the glitz and glam for my eye makeup.

Makeup & Fashion: Pink, Taupe, Crisp & Clean

Hi beauties and Happy October 1!! My birth month is here and I've got so much on the agenda: 

October is breast cancer awareness month, so throughout the month I'll be sharing all the ways you can get involved, tell your stories of survival or support and help raise awareness by joining the many brands that are spearheading these campaigns. 

This month, you can also expect at least a look or two for Halloween (my fave holiday) and I'm happy to take requests, so feel free to leave me a comment. I have a few tricks up my sleeve, so I'm hoping to surprise you!!

Today, on ze blog, I'm kicking it off with a simple look fit for #WearableWednesday. I'm going for a bright purplish-pink pout and taupe smokey eyes to offset my "crisp and chill" outfit of the day.

"Pink Lace" Nail Art

Hello beauties!! It's Mani-Monday aka the only reason to love Mondays, imo, sooo, I've prepared a simple, romantic hand-painted nail art inspired by fishnets and lace. I played with proportions and shapes, incorporating some lacy half moons and French tip patterns and added some glittery studs to dress up the design and hide imperfections. I just love the way this mani came out and really hope you enjoy and try it out for yourselves!!
