NYE: GLAM Makeup & Nails!!

Hey gorgeous and Happy Holidays!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate) and are in good spirits, ready to ring in the new year!! On my end, I've enjoyed a much needed week off and am back today with a quick makeup & nails post just in time for NYE. I went for a clean, easy-to-replicate, glamorous look fit for a New Year's Ball or Gala. This makeup is simple enough to wear with a backless gown and an updo and is perfect for those of you who prefer natural makeup. I'll try to squeeze in another post on Wednesday focusing on high-drama makeup to go with your sequins dresses and glitzy soirees. Cheers!!

The trick is in balancing out the details: Clean skin vs. sculpted cheeks, soft voluminous lashes vs. glittery pink lids, minimal color on the face vs. rich wine popping on the lips. I went for minimal makeup and jewelry to make room for a major statement back-piece and lifted my hair up in a braided bun updo to maximize the effect.

Minimal makeup call for maximal NAILS!! Mine are always dressed to the max :))

I used China Glaze Polishes from the latest Twinkle Collection: "Meet Me Under the Stars" (micro glitter in navy polish), "Define Good" (burgundy) and "No Peeking" (metallic eggplant). For the gold nail art, I used Snap Tats tattoos and cut them up to create my own custom designs like the Ball-drop and martini glass.
