Mint & Purple Smokey + Summer Outfit

Hey beauties!! I'm in the mood for color, and today I'm bringing back one of my favorite color combos, mint + purple, plus a step-by-step tutorial to help you achieve this look. I drew my inspiration from "Peacocky" -- one of the first looks I posted on my blog back in 2011, but I'm reinventing it using Motives Cosmetics and a fresh take on smokey eyes. I'm also including an "outfit of the day" to show you how I paired this vibrant makeup with my wardrobe.

"Olive Green" Smokey: Jason Wu for Lancome

Salut mes belles!! It's Tutorial-Tuesday and I've got a goodie prepared for you! As you know, I'm thoroughly obsessed with the latest Jason Wu for Lancome summer collection and today is my second JW tutorial installment (see first here) featuring the "Disco" palette -- a shimmery olive toned palette suitable for summertime smokey eyes. The great thing about this color combo is that it's totally versatile and can be dressed up or down for any occasion. In this post, I'm keeping it low-key and pairing the makeup with a casual "outfit of the day".

Bonjour mes belles!! It's a beautiful day and I'm starting my weekend early en route to Southampton for a beauty event (pics coming up!). This week was a toughie, but I pulled through and together with Lee, prepared a YouTube video tutorial for you guys, just in time for your weekend celebrations. The look is edgy, smoldering and is centered around purple eyeshadow -- a great choice for a date or a night out and a perfect match for any sultry weekend outfit.

Summer Nails: Tiger Print + Greek Pattern

Hello beauties! It's Mani-Monday and I couldn't be more excited! I finally got a chance to wind down and enjoy one of my favorite activities of all time: nail painting. Sure, I paint my nails every week, but this week, I am thoroughly obsessed with my funky fresh, mixed patterns hand-painted nail design. I wanted to tackle this otherwise Halloween-y color combo and approach it in a fun, summery way, so I went for tiger stripes in French and full styles, plus a Greek key pattern to offset the animal print. I really love the outcome and can't to pair it with different makeup looks throughout the week :)

Summer Makeup: Blue Lashes

Hi dolls!! Warm weather is finally here, sort of, and it's my favorite time of the year to experiment with color. Today, I'm whipping out my electric blue mascara and pairing it with a simple cat eye smokey to bring all attention to my peepers. Blue lashes are über fresh, flirty and attention grabbing, plus, it's a quick and easy idea for adding that summer-ready pop of color to your makeup routine! For this eye look, all you'll need is a bright blue mascara, a few neutral eyeshadows (ELEMENT Palette), and a jet black liner. Easy, different and totally eye-catching :)
