Mattes 2015: Matte Nails, Matte Makeup

Hello my beauties!! It's my first Mani-Monday of 2015, but I've got lots more lined up for today's post. This season is all about the matte finish, we're seeing lots of matte makeup and nails, velvety-soft skin finishes and smokey eyes, and virtually every brand is coming out with those coveted matte lipsticks that everyone craves. Today, I'm overdosing on the matte trend and wearing it from head to toe (or fingertip) and I've even got a quick matte lip video tutorial for you all. In this 15 seconds MATTE lip video tutorial, I'm showcasing a quick and easy way to apply your lipstick to make the lips appear fuller. Matte lipsticks are a lot more forgiving than satin or glossy lip products, so they make for the perfect medium to masquerade your natural lip shape. 

Products Used: 

• Lancome L'Absolu Rouge La Base -- lip primer
• Lancome Le Lipstique in Mauvelle -- lip liner
• Lancome Color Design Lipstick in Plum Show (matte)
• Lancome Teint Visionnaire (corrector)
• Lancome Concealer Brush #8

Matte Plum Lips How-To:

1. Prep the lips with Lancome L'Absolu Rouge La Base and press them together to distribute product evenly.
2. Use a sharp liner Lancome Le Lipstique in Mauvelle to outline the lip shape, then fill it in. Use the brush end of the liner to blend the product over the surface of the lips.
3. Apply Lancome Color Design Lipstick in Plum Show straight from the tube. Fix any imperfections or go over the lip line with the liner.
4. Blot the lips with a tissue to remove excess product.
5. Clean up the edges with Lancome Teint Visionnaire (corrector) on a Lancome Concealer Brush #8.
