Summer Night Soirée Makeup & Style

Hello my beauties! Today's post is the third installment to my Chloe Summer Beauty collab with Chloe Wine and this look is inspired by Chloe's rich, elegant and complex Red 249. This intense smokey eye and red lip combo is perfect for a summer night soirée and is designed to complement any LBD and soft wavy updo. I'm taking this look to an upscale Gala, where would you wear it to?

Read more for details, products and how-to's:

The Look: Elegant, timeless with a dash of drama. Curve-hugging and sleek little black dress with peekaboo lace detailing and sky-high metallic heels.
The Makeup: bold, beautiful, but not intimidating. Strong smokey eyes are softened with a wash of warm brown shadow in the crease; the classic red lip modernized with a hint of ombré. Skin is kept clean and minimal to keep the focus on the features. Soft waves frame the face.

Red 249: A complex red blend with deep layers of expressive, dark fruit flavors blended with notes of rich espresso and spice on the palate.

"Summer Night" Clean Skin How-To: To best complement a strong eye and bold lip combo, face makeup should be kept to a minimum.
  1. Use a medium coverage foundation like L'Oréal True Match to enhance areas with imperfections and be sure to soak up any excess with a damp beauty blender sponge.
  2. Set the makeup with translucent powder like Laura Mercier's and add a touch of neutral blush to the apples of the cheeks.
  3. Complete the look by adding a dash of highlighter like Becca "Champagne Pop" to the high points of the face.
"Summer Night" Smokey Eye How-To:
  1. Prime the entire lid from the lash line to the brow.
  2. Using a fluffy brush, apply a warm soft brown shade to the crease and blend it out. Next, pick up a cooler brown shade with a smaller brush and deepen the crease.
  3. Apply a black sticky base to the movable lid and blend with your finger.
    • I used NYX black base
  4. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, apply a black shadow (Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette) over the sticky base, blending the transitions with the crease shades.
  5. Apply a shimmery bronze shadow to the center of the lid.
  6. Line the waterline with a bronze waterproof liner.
    • I used Ardency Inn modster liner in Gold
  7. Line the top lash line with a black gel liner to thicken the lashes.
  8. Apply mascara and pointed style falsies.
    • I used Tarte Lights Camera Flashes mascara and House of Lashes "Boudoir" lashes.
"Summer Night" Red Ombré Matte Lips How-To:
  1. Line the lips with a deep red lip liner and feather inwards.
    • I used NYX retractable lip liner in Sienna
  2. Apply a deep brick red matte lipstick to the outer portion of the lips and blend inwards.
    • I used NYX liquid suede lipstick in Cherry Skies
  3. Dot on a bright red matte lipstick to the center of the mouth and use a clean fluffy eyeshadow brush to blend it outwards to meet with the previous color.
    • I used NYX liquid suede lipstick in Kitten Heels
Necklace: Celestine Jewelry
Ring: India Trend
Dress: Asos
Heels: Asos
Tonight, I'll be enjoying some Filet Mignon with a glass of Chloe Wine Red 249. What are your Summer weekend plans and what are you sipping on?
