Joyeux Vendredi & Happy Friday :)

Hi friends. It's been a he//ish week and I'm beat... After tough weeks and periods, I like to take one Friday for myself and spend it sans maquillage, rejuvenating through silence, facial masks, regular eating habits and much needed beauty rest. Today, I will be doing just that, as I am in desperate need of recovery. How do you restore yourself from a long week?

In today's post, I'll share with you my makeup of the day as well as my new favorite nail polish that's been making me smile all week :) As a healthy bonus, I'll also show you my quick and yummy pick me up recipe tip for all the foodies out there. Lou Lou's Peachy Crème by Brucci Nail Hardener is absolutely lovely and unexpected. It is both pale and bright (kind of hard to describe and imagine), so it's perfect for work without being a bore. The peachy shade is particularly flattering on my skin tone and would probably work well on a lot of different skin tones. I applied two coats for an opaque finish that is very true to the color in the bottle. I super like this one and can't wait to try it on my toesies come summertime. P. S. For $2.99 a pop, you can't go wrong :) Yayy!!

I kept my maquillage super simple with just a dab of iridescent peachy eyeshadow on the center of my lids and mascara on the top and bottom lashes. I combined two lip colors to achieve my peachy glossy mouth and two blushes for a hint of peachy on my cheekbones. I finished by spritzing some Fix plus spray by MAC to keep the complexion dewey. I've been wearing this makeup look all week as I've had no time for anything fancy and complicated. I like to wear this shade when my skin needs brightening to perk up my yellowish-greenish lackluster complexion when I'm lacking sleep haha

Makes 2 servings: 1 white peach (or nectarine) & 1/2 melon cut into cubes, 1 cup of Greek yogurt, a handful of frozen blueberries, mixed in a blender for a delightful treat :) Serve in a hurricane glass and feel fabulous!

#1 Beauty Tip: Get plenty of rest, maintain healthy eating habits, exercise regularly and don't forget to recharge your battery! Take the time to be alone and sit in silence, write in your journal, meditate, reflect and let it all go.
