"Bold & Beautiful" Coral Makeup

Bonjour mes belles! Today's ready-to-wear look was created in anticipation of warmer weather and was inspired by the color coral, which I implemented in both my eyes and lips. The eye makeup is subtle enough to be worn casually and is featured here with a popping lipstick for a classic night out ensemble. This look would be perfect for prom and was put together using Anastasia's latest Bold & Beautiful Kit and one of my favorite bright lipsticks from Makeup Geek.

Read more & learn how-to!

EYES: Subtle, sparkly coral lids; Well-defined lash lines -- thin black liner on the top and strong navy liner framing the entire eye and waterline; Soft cat-eye wing and wispy lashes.

BROWS: Sculpted, natural brows.

SKIN: Clean skin and minimal blush.

LIPS: Bright, coral-orange lips

SUITED FOR: Prom, Sweet 16, QuinceaƱera, Weddings, formal occasions, etc.

BEST PAIRED WITH: Gold jewelry and peach, cream, yellow, navy, orange, black or white gowns.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Bold & Beautiful Kit: This gorgeous eye quad and brow duo set is one of my favorite kits for Spring makeup looks. The kit consists of two separate palettes: Volume 1 Bold Brows and Volume 2 Beautiful Eyes, which are bound together by a holder inspired by old books. The packaging is not only beautiful, but is also light, smart and perfect for traveling -- it's truly Beauty by the Book!

  1. Volume 1 Bold Brows consists of a Brow Powder, Pomade, Mini Duo Brush, and Mini Tweezers to sculpt and define the perfect brows. The taupe powder and brown wax are perfectly paired and are versatile enough to match many brow shades and skin complexions.
  2. Volume 2 Beautiful Eyes consists of four versatile neutral eye shadows in matte, shimmery and sparkly finishes that can be applied wet or dry to create anything from a subtle, sheer wash of color to an intense, nude smoky eye. The shadows are velvety, easy to blend and yield little to no fallout. Shadow colors (left to right): matte pale peach, shimmery golden coral, matte nude with gold sparkles, sparkly black.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Covet Waterproof Eyeliners: These waterproof liners are smooth, pigmented and 100% reliable. Looking for smudge-free formula for the waterline? Look no further -- these babies are it!
  • Vert -- shimmery Olive
  • Noir -- deep Black
  • Astral -- shimmery Emerald
  • Azure -- bold Navy (used here)
  • Steel -- matte gray
PRODUCTS USED:

SKIN: Silk Naturals Vegan Foundation (custom mix) -- review to come!

LIPS: Makeup Geek lipstick in Captivating -- a gorgeous bright coral-orange that's made for Spring!

EYES:

BROWS:
  1. Prime the lids and lower lash line. Allow a few seconds for the primer to set.
  2. Using the flat end of the duo brush, highlight the inner corner and brow bone with the matte pale peach shade.
  3. Using the same brush end, but flipping it to the clean side, apply the shimmery coral shade to the entire lid, concentrating on the center.
  4. With the pointed end of the brush, outline the eye socket and extend the outer portion with the matte nude shadow.
  5. Using the same brush end, outline the outer wing with the sparkly black shadow and blend it out to create a soft angled wing. Bring the color to the lower lash line.
  6. Line the top lash line with a black liquid liner, extending and rounding out the inner tear duct.
  7. Rim the waterline and lower lash line with Azure Covet Waterproof liner and connect to the top liner in the outer and inner corners.
  8. Add loose gold glitter to the center of the lid and finish the eye look with natural-looking wispy false lashes like Red Cherry #217. Apply mascara to the lower lashes.
Complete the look with a pop of color on the lips: Makeup Geek lipstick in Captivating
  • I am continually impressed with Makeup Geek products. These lipsticks are virtually flawless in terms of pigmentation, consistency and wear. Captivating is one of my favorite colors in the collection, plus it's smooth, silky and hydrating -- I can't rave about it enough! This vibrant coral-orange is simply a must-have!
