Salut mes belles!!
I hope you had a very merry Christmas and/or are continuing your celebration of Hanukkah. With just a few days left before the new year, I'm going to try to dedicate the remaining month's posts to the big New Year's Eve fiesta. Let me know if you'd like to see something in particular by leaving me a comment here or e-mailing me at FixYourFaceMakeup at Gmail.com. For now, here's my sparkly smokey eye to glisten while you wait to see the ball drop. Likey?

Nothing looks better with bangs than a good ol' smokey eye & sparkle :)
Achieving this eye look is easy:
- Prime your lids
- Apply the cream base (Buxom-Pug) to your lid and under your lower lash line using your finger
- Using a flat shader brush and patting motions, apply the dark, shimmery gunmetal eyeshadow (Sephora-Starry Night) onto the outer portion of your lid and slightly above the crease
- Clean off the brush and apply the shimmery white eyeshadow (UD-Polyester Bride) to the inner portion of your lid, staying under the crease
- Pat the two eye shadows over one another to blend the transition
- Using a clean fluffy dome brush and windshield wiper motions, "erase" the rough edge of the two eye shadows to create soft smokiness
- Line your waterlines and smudge your top lash line with a black eyeliner (UD-Zero)
- Apply your falsies and add mascara to the bottom lashes
TIP: Rimming the waterlines with black liner makes dark eyes appear lighter and brighter
SMOKEY EYE MAKEUP TIP: To maximize a smokey eye look, pick false lashes that have dense hair fibers, like the ones I have on. I don't know the name or make of the pair I'm wearing, but they're pretty standard and should be easy to find within any false eyelash brand :)
