Bonjour mes amis! Fashion Week may be officially over, but my runway recap is still going strong. Today's post is covering the BlacMéra show I attended on Wednesday, with makeup sponsored by Inglot and realized by the legendary makeup artist, James Vincent.
BlacMéra is an emerging couture brand founded by Yuliana Candra, with a vision to bring femininity and romanticism to the strong, modern woman. The 2013 Luxury Resort Collection is "inspired by the flow of colors and vigor that transcend across the elements of earth, wind and fire".
The Fashion: The collection centered around exotic hand painted and printed silk tunics and featured an eclectic ensemble of decorative evening wear and gowns toughened with leather detailing and accessories.
The Beauty: The makeup and hair reflected the aesthetic of the designer, featuring a bright red lip and defined eyes with spiky lashes by Inglot, and soft, slightly disheveled, up-done hair by Salon Grafix.
The Makeup: Key makeup artist James Vincent and his team used Inglot's concealer palette and cream foundation to perfect the canvas and a custom palette to chisel out the features. The eyes were further defined with Soft Precision Eyeliner #20 and Lashes #70n. The artists used a few varying shades of Inglot's red lipstick to compliment the model's skin tones.
SKIN:
EYES:
- Eyeshadows #350, 351, 353, 30, 08
- Soft precision eyeliner #20
- Mascara Black
- Lash #70n
- Eyebrow pencil
LIPS:
- Lip #230, 126, 127, 408
- Red lipliner
NAILS:
BODY: Body bronzer
I was there too, with my iPhone and Instagram handy, snapping pics and posting them with frenzy! In the shot above, James Vincent is backstage working on makeup for a FOX TV segment. Amidst all the FW backstage craze, he even had a little time to interview with yours truly -- I promise to share his insight and beauty tips soon! P. S. My orange Lime Crime eyeliner was approved by the man himself :D
Pardon me as I ::silently scream::
bisous,

ReplyDeleteThese styles are definitely more like me. I'm actually very attracted to the fashion. I love the colours and how flowy they look!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you said this! They weren't my aesthetic per say, but I LOVE the fact that they appeal to you. The world would be so boring if we all had the same tastes, right? :))
