Eartha Woods

Hello Lazy Monday...

I'm feeling very earthy today and what better way to bring this feeling to life than with rich earth tone eyeshadows, natural disheveled hair, and funky-chunky wooden & leather jewelry. This is how Maryam Maquillage does it, "Eartha Woods" style ;)))

As for any earthy, woody and/or natural maquillage, the best palette for the job is none other than the NAKED palette by Urban Decay. It has all the colors one might possibly need to complete this look plus many more to transform any makeup from daytime to evening.

(foundation excluded)

The Eyes: Start with a sticky base or primer applied all over the lids
  1. Using a fluffy brush, apply Buck (soft matte brown) all over the lids, staying under the crease
  2. With the same brush, apply Hustle (shimmery mocha with purple undertones) on top of Buck, to the outer half of the lid
  3. Smudge some Hustle under the lower lash line using a pencil brush or your pinky :)
  4. Using a denser brush (flat brush), apply Sin (shimmery champagne) to the inner half of the lid. Blend the transition between Hustle and Sin to create a gradual fade
  5. Pick up some Naked (matte nude) on a fluffy brush and blend out the top edge of the shadows using windshield wiper motions
  6. Highlight the inner corner using Virgin (satin pale pink)
  7. Line the top lash line using a purple or black gel liner
  8. Line the bottom waterline with a nude liner for a brightening effect
  9. Curl your lashes and apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes
Lippies & the rest of the Face :)

My funky-chunky wooden jewelry is from Africa. I always associate Africa with earth, soil, nature and the beginning of time & humankind :))) I can't wait to visit, pick up more goodies and be one with mother earth, Hakuna Matata style :)))

No worries--only bisous,

Maryam Maquillage
