Nail Art: Ballet Fishnets

Salut mes amis!!

As some of you may know, I was the lucky winner of Yami's giveaway on her blog The Dark Side of Beauty. This week I received her package and was sooo thrilled to discover my prize: 8 beautifully packed nail polishes in total--7 tropical inspired polishes from Sinful Colors plus one gooorgeous color from OPI. I am dying to try all of them at once, so the next few of my nail posts will feature Yami's polishes.

Today, I created a simple nail art design using Easy Going from Sinful Colors as a base and Sally Hansen nail art pens in silver and black for the fishnets :)
Read more for pix, how-to and review :)

Easy Going is a beautiful color to wear alone or as a base for any nail design. The color is a very opaque ballet pink and would look gorgeous against any skin tone. If you're particularly fair, this polish will definitely make your hands a bit more tanned looking, as most white-ish nail polishes tend to. The consistency of the product is great as well, and two coats create the perfect finish just as it looks in the bottle.

Step 1: Apply 2 coats of Easy Going

Step 2: Draw diagonal lines with Sally Hansen nail art pen in Silver, then criss-cross by drawing the diagonal lines in the opposite direction to create the fishnet.

Step 3: Draw tiny dots using Sally Hansen nail art pen in black at the criss-cross points to highlight them
Finish with your favorite topcoat. My fave is Duri Rejuvacote :)

Aaaand, if I may brag a little, here's my prize :D THANX YAMI!!! and yes, that is her cute handwritten Hello Kitty note underneath the polishes ;))) The colors (from left to right): Sinful Colors--Easy Going; Beautiful Girl; Star Fish; Verbena; OPI--Teenage Dream; SC--Open Seas; Seaweed; Adventure Island.

 bisous,

Maryam Maquillage

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the new colors you won and thanks for the helpful tip about light polishes making pale hands look more tan, my pasty skin and I thank you!
